We built WeCubit with privacy as a first principle. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and how we protect your data.

Privacy at a Glance
The short version

WeCubit is an offline-first, privacy-first iOS app. We do not collect any personal data. We do not sell data. We do not track you. Your solve history, times, and progress live entirely on your device and are never sent anywhere without your explicit action.

  • No account or sign-up required
  • No analytics or behavioral tracking
  • No advertising SDKs
  • All AI features run fully on-device via Apple Intelligence
  • iCloud sync is optional and controlled entirely by you in iOS Settings

What We Collect
Data collection practices

We collect no personal information whatsoever. The only data WeCubit generates is stored locally on your device:

  • Solve times and session history — stored in your app's local database (SQLite/SwiftData). Never transmitted.
  • Solve DNA splits (Cross, F2L, OLL, PLL timings) — stored locally for AI Coach analysis on-device only.
  • Personal bests and statistics — stored locally and optionally synced via your personal iCloud account.
  • App preferences (theme, method selection, settings) — stored in UserDefaults on-device.

If you enable iCloud sync, your data travels through Apple's encrypted iCloud infrastructure under Apple's privacy policy. WeCubit has no access to that data.

AI Coach & Apple Intelligence
On-device, private by design

WeCubit's AI Coach is powered by Apple Intelligence, Apple's on-device machine-learning framework. All analysis happens locally on your iPhone — your solve data never leaves your device for AI processing.

  • No data is sent to external AI servers or third-party APIs
  • Coaching insights are generated entirely on your device
  • Apple Intelligence features require a compatible iPhone and iOS version
  • If your device does not support Apple Intelligence, the Coach tab will be unavailable

Third-Party Services
External integrations

WeCubit uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. The only external service involved is Apple's own App Store infrastructure for download and purchase validation.

  • Apple App Store — for download, purchase, and optional subscription management (governed by Apple's privacy policy)
  • Apple iCloud — optional data backup/sync if you choose to enable it in iOS Settings
  • Apple Intelligence — on-device AI processing; no data leaves your device

We do not embed Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Facebook SDK, Google Analytics, or any similar third-party tracking frameworks.

App Store & Purchases
Payment & billing

WeCubit is free to download. Any future in-app purchases or premium features are handled entirely through Apple's App Store payment infrastructure. We never receive, process, or store your payment card details.

  • All payments are processed by Apple
  • We receive only a confirmation of purchase status from StoreKit, not your payment details
  • For billing questions, refer to your Apple ID purchase history or contact Apple Support

Children's Privacy
COPPA & age groups

WeCubit is designed for all ages and is suitable for children. Because we collect no personal information from any user, WeCubit is inherently compliant with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and similar regulations worldwide.

  • No registration or account creation is required
  • No personal information is collected from any user, including children
  • Parental controls are not required for safe use

Your Rights & Data Deletion
GDPR, CCPA & global rights

Since WeCubit holds no personal data on our servers, there is no data to request, export, or erase from our end. All your data is on your own device, entirely under your control.

  • Delete all data — simply delete the WeCubit app from your device. All local data is permanently removed.
  • iCloud data — manage or delete via iPhone Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → WeCubit.
  • GDPR / CCPA — we have no personal data to provide or delete on our end. Your device is the only data store.

Updates & notifications

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page and, for material changes, display a notice within the app on next launch.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of WeCubit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
